GIA certified Purplish Pink Sapphire Pendant with Diamonds This purplish pink Sapphire has a tone of its own. Exquisite and playful yet serious. Not all purplish pink Sapphires hit the right tone of color, but this one has. Probably crystallized in the earth's crust a few million years ago in the depths of a sapphire mine in Sri Lanka, this was discovered and born to be in a class of its own. Pre-formed, cut and polished in Sri Lanka itself and then re-facetted in Hong Kong, it was put into a pendant of 18 K white gold surrounded by diamonds and on an 18 K chain. The purplish pink sapphire weighs cts 2.27 and is accompanied by a certificate from The Gemmological Institute of America staring the origin to be Sri Lanka. The diamond surround consists of 24 pcs of cts 0.14 while the chain is 18 K White Gold of 1.4 grams. The total gold weight in the pendant without the chain is 0.97 grams.
